Ransomed Run

Description

The Ransomed Run is a half marathon event put on by Up and Running Again, a faith-based, 501c3 non-profit organization partnering with rescue missions all over the United States to train those recovering from homelessness to run half marathons. With the accomplishment of a half marathon, runners gain the confidence needed to overcome addictions, reconcile relationships, and walk into a life forever changed. In the fall of 2020, Up and Running Again had many runners trained and ready to run half marathons, but there was one problem. Most races around the country were cancelled due to Covid-19. So, the Ransomed Run, a socially distanced, Up and Running Again hosted half marathon, was born.

All proceeds from the Ransomed Run go to Up and Running Again to help even more people recovering from homelessness experience the accomplishment of a half marathon finish. If you’d like to learn more about Up and Running Again, click here.
